Q: What's special about the material Nylon(Polyamide)?
A:
Nylon, also known as polyamide, is a synthetic polymer. It became popular due to its strength, durability, and elasticity. Nylon is resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and heat. It is also lightweight and easy to care for.
Q: What are the advantages using Nylon (polyamide) as the fabirc for roller covers?
A:
Advantages:
1. Resistant, long-lasting. Easy to clean and maintain.
2. Resistant to shedding and matting, which ensures a smooth and even finish.
3. Suitable for use with a variety of paints, including oil-based, water-based paints and varnishes.
Q: What is NAP?
A:
NAP, or pile height, refers to the length of the fibers on a roller cover. It is an important consideration when choosing a roller cover, as it determines how much paint it can hold and how much texture it can create on the surface being painted.
Q: How do we choose roller cover by different NAP?
A:
3/8" (10MM) NAP: Slightly textured surfaces such as drywall, ceiling and floor.
1/2" (12MM) NAP: Semi-rough surfaces such as textured walls, ceilings, exterior stucco or concrete.
3/4" (20MM) NAP: Rough surfaces such as bricks, rough wood siding and popcorn ceilings.
Q: How can we avoid leaving fabircs on the painted surface?
A:
1. Prepare your roller cover before use as shown above.
2. When painting, use a light touch and avoid pressing too hard on the roller. It prevents fibers from being dislodged.
3. Stop painting when fibrics are found, remove them immediately.
